Reviewing AI Extractions

The guide provides AP clerks with instructions for verifying AI-extracted invoice data before processing. Users access the review function from the dashboard, opening invoices in a split-view editor showing the PDF alongside extracted fields.

Opening invoices: Click the Review card from the dashboard, then select an invoice to open the editor with side-by-side PDF and data panels.

Confidence scoring: The system assigns confidence percentages to extractions—green (>90%) indicates high accuracy, yellow (70-90%) requires careful review, and red (<70%) likely needs corrections.

Users should systematically check:

  • Vendor name accuracy
  • Invoice number matching
  • Date formats (addressing MM/DD vs DD/MM confusion)
  • Total amounts and tax calculations
  • Line item details (descriptions, quantities, prices)

If extraction quality is poor, the “Re-extract” feature allows users to reprocess the entire document or specific line items. Users can also flag extraction issues to help improve the AI system, selecting from categories like unrecognized vendors or failed amount extraction.

The guide identifies typical errors including wrong vendor selection, decimal point issues, missing line items, and misapplied tax rates, providing specific fixes for each scenario.
