Claude (Anthropic) Setup

Configure Claude as your AI provider for invoice extraction.

Prerequisites

• Anthropic account (create at console.anthropic.com)
• Valid payment method on Anthropic account
• TaprNext admin access

Step 1: Create Anthropic Account

1. Go to console.anthropic.com
2. Click Sign Up
3. Verify your email
4. Add payment method (required for API access)

Step 2: Generate API Key

1. Log into Anthropic Console
2. Navigate to API Keys
3. Click Create Key
4. Name it “TaprNext” (for identification)
5. Copy the key immediately (shown only once)

Step 3: Configure TaprNext

1. Go to Tapr Settings
2. Select AI Provider tab
3. Choose Claude (Anthropic)
4. Enter your API key
5. Select model: claude-3-5-sonnet-20241022 (recommended)
6. Click Save

Step 4: Test Connection

1. Click Test Connection
2. Wait for confirmation
3. Green checkmark = success

If test fails:

• Verify API key is correct
• Check Anthropic account has credits
• Ensure no firewall blocking

Troubleshooting

”Invalid API Key”

• Re-copy key from Anthropic Console
• Check for extra spaces
• Ensure key starts with sk-ant-

”Rate Limited”

• Wait 60 seconds and retry
• Consider upgrading Anthropic tier
• Reduce concurrent extractions

”Model Not Available”

• Update model name to current version
• Check Anthropic status page
