ERPNext Testing
Verify your ERPNext connection works correctly before going live.
Connection Test
Section titled “Connection Test”Run Test
Section titled “Run Test”- Go to Legal Entity > ERP Connection
- Click Test Connection
The system performs several validation checks:
- Server reachability at your ERPNext URL
- Authentication credentials validity
- User permissions for creating Purchase Invoices
- Company accessibility
- Supplier data readability
Test Failures
Section titled “Test Failures”| Error | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Server unreachable | Network/firewall issues | Verify URL and firewall rules |
| Authentication failed | Invalid credentials | Regenerate API keys |
| Permission denied | Missing required roles | Add necessary roles to user |
| Company not found | Access restrictions | Grant company access to API user |
Post Test Invoice
Section titled “Post Test Invoice”Create Test Invoice
Section titled “Create Test Invoice”- Upload a test invoice document
- Complete the extraction review process
- Submit the invoice for approval
- Approve the invoice
- Monitor for successful ERP posting
The system displays confirmation when the invoice successfully posts, including the TaprNext reference number and ERPNext document identifier.
Verify in ERPNext
Section titled “Verify in ERPNext”- Log into your ERPNext instance
- Navigate to Accounts > Purchase Invoice
- Locate the posted invoice using the reference number
- Confirm all extracted fields match the original document
Cleanup Test Data
Section titled “Cleanup Test Data”Option 1: Cancel in ERPNext
Section titled “Option 1: Cancel in ERPNext”Open the test invoice and click Cancel to mark it as cancelled.
Option 2: Delete (if draft)
Section titled “Option 2: Delete (if draft)”For draft invoices, open and click Delete to remove completely.
Production Checklist
Section titled “Production Checklist”Before processing real invoices, verify:
- Connection test passed successfully
- Test invoice posted without errors
- Invoice appears correctly in ERPNext
- All field mappings are accurate
- Test data has been removed
- Team understands the workflow
Monitoring
Section titled “Monitoring”After deployment, track posting performance through:
- Dashboard: Displays success rates and statistics
- Alerts: Email notifications for posting failures
- Logs: Complete posting history and timeline
