Site Mode Configuration

TaprNext operates in two distinct modes: Demo or Production, which governs data handling, metering, and billing approaches.

Demo mode is the default for new installations and permits:

  • Testing with sample data
  • Feature exploration without billing implications
  • User training before live deployment
  • Configuration experimentation

Limitations include limited invoice processing capacity, restricted enterprise features, and temporary data status.

Production mode supports operational use with:

  • Full invoice processing capabilities
  • Unrestricted feature access
  • Usage-based metering and billing
  • Enterprise-grade data retention

Critical Warning: Transitioning from Demo to Production is “permanent and cannot be undone.” Demo data will be cleared.

Before transitioning, ensure:

  1. Testing and training completion
  2. Legal entities and ERP integrations configured
  3. AI provider credentials established
  4. Approval workflows defined
  5. User roles assigned
  1. Access Tapr Settings in the Frappe desk
  2. Locate Site Mode in the General tab
  3. Change from “Demo” to “Production”
  4. Save and confirm the warning

Production mode activates immediate metering, removes demo invoices, and begins counting all new invoices toward usage limits.
